What is LVT flooring?

Is LVT flooring waterproof?

Yes, LVT is 100% waterproof, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas prone to moisture.

How does LVT compare to laminate or hardwood?

LVT is softer and warmer underfoot than laminate or hardwood. Unlike laminate, it’s waterproof, and it’s generally quieter thanks to its cushioned layers.

Can I install LVT flooring myself?

Many LVT products use a simple click-lock system for DIY installation. There are also glue-down options, which are better suited to professional fitting.

Do I need underlay with LVT?

Some LVT products come with built-in underlay. If not, underlay is recommended as it improves comfort, reduces sound, and helps with minor subfloor imperfections.

Can LVT be laid over existing floors?

Yes, provided the surface is flat, dry, and stable. Carpets should be removed, but LVT can often be installed over tiles, vinyl, or concrete.

Can LVT be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, most LVT flooring is compatible with underfloor heating, if the system does not exceed 27°C. Always check the product’s installation guide.

How much LVT flooring should I order?

How durable is LVT?

With the correct care, LVT can last 15–25 years, depending on the thickness of its wear layer. It’s designed to withstand heavy foot traffic, making it suitable for both homes and commercial spaces.

Does LVT flooring come with a warranty?

Most of our LVT ranges come with a manufacturer’s warranty of 10–25 years, depending on the product.

What does the warranty cover?

It covers manufacturing defects and wear under normal use. It doesn’t cover issues caused by poor installation, misuse, or flooding.

Is LVT eco-friendly?

Many of our products are manufactured using recycled content

Does LVT contain harmful chemicals?
